Man Faces Slew of Felonies Following Lengthy Investigation

Indian River Drug Trafficking Attorney

Hiring a Qualified Indian River Drug Trafficking Attorney

Following a months-long investigation, the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office raided the home of an Indian River County man believed to be a major supplier of narcotics. By the end of the day, the man was charged with more than two dozen felonies and remains in jail on a $753,500 bond.

With help from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), police seized substantial amounts of marijuana, cocaine and hydromorphone as well as a handful of firearms, at least one of which was stolen. Scales, baggies and substances used to cut cocaine were also seized from the suspect’s home.

According to court records, authorities began investigating the man in January, and confidential informants conducted several controlled buys. The man would typically meet the informants in the busy parking lots of Home Depot, McDonald’s and Staples, either alone or with his children. The man would allegedly carry the contraband in a sock hidden behind the dash on the driver’s side of his vehicle. In addition to drugs, the man allegedly sold a firearm to one of the informants on at least one occasion.

Obviously, the suspect’s case is complex, and he is facing a considerable prison sentence; each felony count carries a sentence of up to 10 years in prison, which means that the man could easily receive a combined sentence that will be longer than his natural life. The length of the man’s sentence will rely greatly on the expertise of the Indian River County drug trafficking lawyer who represents him.

If you or someone you know are in a similar legal situation, it is critical that you do not face it alone. Enlisting the help of an experienced Indian River criminal defense attorney could be the most important decision you ever make.
