Man Arrested for Possession with Intent to Sell
The detective approached Cooper after he pulled the car into a parking spot no more than five feet from the park. He asked to see Cooper’s license plate and then, once he confirmed that it was revoked, he arrested the man. Afterward, he searched the vehicle but found nothing. However, when the detective asked whether he had anything illegal on his person, Cooper removed a plastic baggie from his pants pocket.
The detective reported that the plastic baggie contained nine smaller baggies and that each of which held pieces of crack cocaine. In addition, there were 12 other baggies holding marijuana. These substances were later tested and were positive for the presence of cocaine and marijuana.
The cocaine weighed three grams and the marijuana weighed 14 grams, according to the detective’s report. The drugs were allegedly packaged to be sold.
